After School Athletics
Lakeview Montessori School’s After-School Skills Development Program is designed to promote physical wellness, confidence, and personal growth through sport, movement, and active play. Open to all students in Grades 1–6, the program provides a supportive environment where children can explore new skills, develop healthy habits, and build teamwork, regardless of prior experience or ability. IMPORTANT NOTE: THERE IS NO ATHLETICS IN THE MONTH OF DECEMBER. The Competitive Athletic Program at Lakeview Montessori School is designed to foster physical wellness, teamwork, and personal growth while complementing academic achievement. Participation in athletics helps students develop confidence, resilience, leadership, and sportsmanship, enhancing the overall educational experience for student-athletes and the school community. Open to students in Grades 7 and 8, this inclusive program ensures that any student who demonstrates commitment, effort, and respect has the opportunity to represent Lakeview Montessori School on a school team. Student-athletes compete in exhibition games and tournaments as part of the Windsor-Essex Athletics League (W.E.A.L.), facing local private and homeschool teams. These experiences encourage healthy competition, school pride, and meaningful team collaboration.
