A Message to Our Families
Dear Parents and Guardians of Lakeview Students:
Lakeview Montessori School welcomes each of our families to a new beginning this school year. With every new beginning comes a time to reflect upon the growth that has come beforehand, while honouring the success stories that we have all grown from over the past couple of trying years.
As we move forward, I invite you to join me with a fresh, positive, and open mind as we work together to create new and exciting goals for our students and school community. I welcome you to join us on this mindful journey of Montessori awakening, as we move forward united and eagerly embark on this new and prosperous school year.
There are many important pillars that strengthen Lakeview Montessori School, including our dedicated and professional Board of Directors, who continually work in the best interest of the school community. Our passionate faculty embody the mission and vision of the school while fostering high-quality education and collaborative learning experiences rooted in community.
Lakeview’s prepared Montessori learning environments honour each student individually, tailoring goals that foster creativity, independence, and confidence. Our warm and nurturing teachers challenge students’ growing minds, inspire lifelong learners, and prepare children for meaningful real-world experiences.
As you enter our classrooms, it does not take long to feel the strong sense of family, positive energy, and personal connection that resonates through the relationships each teacher shares with their students.
One of the most special aspects of Lakeview Montessori School is the way our educators value and respect children. Teachers provide opportunities for students to lead their own learning, search and explore for answers to their questions, and work collaboratively with classmates as they continue growing and learning together.
Dr. Maria Montessori once wrote:
“Children are human beings to whom respect is due, superior to us by reason of their innocence and of the greater possibilities of their future.”
At Lakeview Montessori School, teachers inspire students by trusting them to make responsible choices and encouraging them to apply their critical thinking skills in meaningful ways. Our qualified Montessori guides open doors for students, encouraging them to dive deeper into their interests and passions while supporting each child’s individual level of learning.
The prepared Montessori environment is intentionally designed to offer something meaningful for every child while enhancing individual strengths and encouraging success through the Montessori self-correction process. These Montessori core values nurture each student’s competence, confidence, independence, and sense of autonomy.
As a proud Montessori educator and Interim Head of School, I encourage you to embrace this important beginning with us and allow yourself to see the world through a child’s lens, with curiosity, wonder, and optimism. There is so much to admire in children’s enthusiasm for life and in the incredible potential they hold.
Lakeview community, join me in honouring our students’ potential as we work together to empower them to positively impact the world, both now and in the future.
Let today be the start of something new.
With gratitude and sincerity,
Renée Ryerson
