The duration of the Practicum is one full school year (at least 9 months), 540 hours is required for EC level, and 1080 hours for EL I-II level in a Montessori class. Students are responsible for arranging their own practicum placements. We will provide contact information of Montessori Schools in your area; however, it is the students responsibility to contact the schools and apply. Please note that these are volunteer-based placements and are not guaranteed pay positions. However, there may be opportunities to work as a supply teacher, which would be a paid shift.
