1. Take a Tour

Families are welcome to contact LAKEVIEW by email, phone, or by visiting the school website to schedule a meeting and tour of our campus. The first step is to attend a tour, which includes a parent information session, where you will gain valuable information about the Montessori philosophy and the culture at our school. Please note, these initial sessions are for adults only to ensure you can give your full attention to what we must share with you. After a complete tour of our school, all questions will be addressed. At the end of the tour, parents will be given an information package to take home to review.
PRESCHOOL STUDENTS

Student Visit – Infant, Toddler and Casa: At the end of the tour and parent info session a date will be scheduled for the family to return with their child(ren). This is a special time when the child will spend a half hour in the class to become comfortable with the idea of coming to school and to see if the program is a good fit for the child.

Offer of Admission: Once the tour, parent information session and the visit for the child(ren) have been completed, an offer of admission with the link to register your child will be sent through email. As part of the complete registration process, the child’s immunization record, health card number and passport or birth certificate will be requested and collected as required by the CCEYA. These will be added to your child’s Ontario Student Record and kept in a confidential location in the school office. Parental release forms and auto-debit forms will be collected to finalize the registration process.

ELEMENTARY STUDENTS

Student Visit – Lower, Upper and Senior: At the elementary level (age 6 to 14 years) when applicable space is available, the Admissions Coordinator will schedule a full-day classroom visit for your child directly after the tour and parent info session. You will be required to bring your child’s latest report card from their current school, as well as, any other applicable pertinent documents, such as assessments, IEPs, psychological reports and recommendations, etc. At the end of your child’s visit and review of all documents regarding the child, a meeting will be scheduled with the Head of School to discuss the opportunity for admission to Lakeview.

Offer of Admission – New Students: After the visit and meeting with the Head of School, an offer of admission will be sent through email with a Letter of Acceptance within one week detailing the start date for your child. This correspondence will also include the link to register your child. As part of the complete registration process, the child’s immunization record, health card number and passport or birth certificate will be requested and collected as required by the Ministry of Education. These will be added to your child’s Ontario Student Record and kept in a confidential location in the school office. Parental release forms and auto-debit forms will be collected to finalize the registration process.
