  • Casual Child and Youth Worker

    Lakeview Montessori School is looking for a casual Child and Youth Worker. This person should be a dynamic and kind-hearted support who has a love for children and whose primary goal is to nurture and inspire students. As part of the student support team, the CYW works collaboratively to assist in the delivery, development and implementation of academic, social, physical, emotional, and behavioural, programs for selected students with social, emotional and/or behavioural exceptionalities, and assists in the cooperative development and implementation of programs to support the student, family and school personnel.

    Applicants must have experience working with children 3 to 6 years of age. The successful candidate should be patient, enthusiastic and have the ability to work in a Montessori environment. 

    Qualifications:
    Completed three (3) year college diploma or undergraduate University degree as a Child and Youth Worker or completed related/equivalent education.
    One (1) year of related experience.
    Standard First Aid, Infant and Child CPR certificate and
    current VSC Police Record Check.

    Financial Details: $18.50 - $23.00 per hour

  • Chef

    Lakeview is seeking a passionate and organized Chef to prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals that support the health and well-being of our children. The ideal candidate brings positivity to their work, values food safety, and aligns with Montessori principles and Ontario childcare regulations.

    What You’ll Do (but not limited to)

    • Plan and prepare daily meals that meet CCEYA, Public Health, and Canada’s Food Guide requirements
    • Accommodate allergies and special dietary needs with strict attention to safety and cross-contamination
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen that meets provincial and public health standards
    • Order groceries, manage inventory, and track pricing and substitutions (onsite)
    • Keep accurate food safety, menu, and kitchen documentation
    • Train and support kitchen assistants and back-up staff
    • Assist with special events and board meetings as requested

    What You Bring

    • Valid Ontario Food Handler Certification, First Aid & CPR, and Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
    • Knowledge of child-care nutrition and food safety practices
    • Strong organization, communication, and teamwork skills
    • A positive attitude and commitment to children, families, and colleagues

    Applicants must have experience working with children 6 weeks to 6 years of age.  The successful candidate should be patient, enthusiastic and have the ability to work in a Montessori environment. 

    The candidate must have Standard First Aid, Infant and Child CPR certificate and current VSC Police Record Check.

    Financial Details: $18.50 - $21.50 per hour

    The candidate must have Standard First Aid, Infant and Child CPR certificate and current VSC Police Record Check.

    Financial Details: $18.50 - $21.50 per hour
